Tignish Treasures

 

Tignish Treasures is a Prince Edward Island Craft Company owned and operated by a non-profit community development group. The objective of our company is to produce quality Island made products at reasonable prices and to better our community by creating meaningful employment for skilled local artists.

Our products are hand carved, cast and painted on Prince Edward Island. Our sculptor hand carves each original Tignish Treasure in modeling clay. The original must be reworked many times before final approval. The completed sculpture is then ready for our skilled artists to begin the time consuming task of hand casting and hand painting reproductions of the original. There are four symbols on the back of each of our pieces. Each of these symbols represent the four artisans that have created the treasure.

The first items to be released are a series of collectible hanging ornaments, standing ornaments and trinket boxes featuring Island scenes. Each item comes packaged with our gold seal and includes a card of authenticity and information card. We will continue to create of variety of new and exciting treasures, with new product to be released again in the fall of 2000.

Our studio is open to the public and free tours are available to those who are interested in meeting our artists and seeing how are crafts are made. We also have an on site gift shop where our products, along with a number of other Island made products are available for purchase.

Tignish Treasures can produce a variety of exclusive custom designed products for you. We can produce a number of items such as small figurines, ornaments, picture frames, plates, candle holders, trinket boxes, welcome signs, etc... These items and more are available in a number of styles and sizes. Our custom designed products can be personalized for use at special events such as wedding receptions, conventions, celebrations, awards ceremonies, or any other special occasion. We can design an item for you by using a photograph, drawing, or simply an idea from your imagination. Our talented artists can produce just about anything that one can imagine!
